  • You don't :D JavaScript is run client side -- inside the visitor's browser. The database is generally blocked from connections originating outside the firewall. Besides, you don't want your database information (host, username, password) available to anyone smart enough to do a "View Source" do you?
  • I use javascript to connect Access database locally. It works. For web application, no.
