I want to be a surgeon. Which is the best way of going about it? And which is the best university to go to?

To be a surgeon you have to be doctor who later specialises as a surgeon. In the UK you do a 5 year degree in medicine where you learn general medicine and some limited surgery. After 5 years when you qualify you get placed in hospital and it is at this point people start to begin their specialisation, although it takes a very long time as you are at the bottom rung. Your only option is to study medicine at university, so study hard and choose a university with a good quality medical faculty.
