I have a big collection of DVDs in my room. I have been collecting them over the years and now I hear they will become obsolete in the future as well as DVD and Blu-ray players. This is because of streaming. Not everyone has an account with a streaming service. The problem with streaming movies is that they can buffer or not play when there are connection problems with the internet. DVDs and Blu-rays do not have that problem and can be watched any time. 4/25/2024, in this digital world, more items will start to disappear from daily life, including cable boxes, physical cash, landlines and etc. For this reason, now is the time for people to begin adding CD's, DVD's, Blu-ray's and series sets to their collection, just in case they are no longer available. I've had movie streamer fanatics tell me that DVD's and Blu-ray's take up too much space in a home, they're very expensive on Amazon and eBay, and who wants to re-watch the same movies? My response to them: unless they live in a tiny home, space can always be made, good movies are worth every penny, while not re-watching the same movies is like not re-reading great books. The greatest advantage to rub it in their face - physical media belongs to you once you buy it. 😁
